Human Resources Information
Institute policy on work absence due to either extreme weather conditions or industrial action on public transport.
Staff should make every effort to get to work but in the event that they are unable to do so, should contact their line manager as soon as possible. If appropriate, the line manager may agree for a staff member to work from home. For those staff for whom remote working is not possible, it will be at the discretion of the line manager whether the member of staff is asked to make up lost time at a later date or to take the days of absence as unpaid or annual leave.
