Dr Lin Wang of the Peking Union Medical College will be visiting the Institute on Thursday 3rd February 2011. He will give a talk entitled: "Molecular mechanisms of bile secretion, cholestasis and protein homeostasis in the endoplasmic reticulum of hepatocytes". This will begin at 1pm in the 2nd floor office. All staff are invited to attend.

The date of Professor Naoumov's first visit to the Institute to meet with the research teams will be Wednesday 9th February 2011. Shilpa Chokshi and Natalie Day will be coordinating arrangments.

Professor Nikolai Naoumov has been appointed Honorary Scientific Advisor to the Board of Trustees of the Foundation. In this capacity he will visit the Institute regularly throughout the year to meet with Group Heads and review their research programmes. The date of his first visit will be confirmed in the New Year.

On Wednesday 8 December 2010 Dr Michael Krowka of the Mayo Clinic, USA, will be visiting the Institute to give a seminar entitled: "Update on hepato-pulmonary syndrome and porto-pulmonary hypertension." The talk will being at 12 noon in the 2nd floor offices. All staff are invited to attend. Lunch will be provided.
