Gift Aid

However you decide to make a donation to us, whether by post, standing order or online, if you are a UK tax payer please consider completing a Gift Aid declaration.

How Gift Aid works

The Gift Aid Scheme is for gifts of money by individuals who pay UK tax.  Gift Aid donations are regarded as having basic rate tax deducted by the donor. The charity receiving your donation is able to reclaim the basic rate tax from HM Revenue & Customs on the gross equivalent of your donation.

If you give £10 using Gift Aid it will be worth £12.50 to the Foundation.  If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you may be entitled to claim back the difference between the standard rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office.
